Eufy 15C vs 15C MAX vs. 30C

Low furniture can make your home look more spacious while adding a level of comfort, luxury, and elegance to your living spaces. However, they can pose a cleaning nightmare because of the tiny spaces between the furniture and the floor.

Eufy must have had this problem in mind when they were designing their RoboVac line of robot vacuums. These vacuums are as powerful and effective as any other mid-budget robot vacuums but they are slimmer than many of the competitors.

Today, we will be comparing three Eufy RoboVac robot vacuums. These are the RoboVac 15C, the RoboVac 15C Max and the RoboVac 30C. They are all from Eufy so they will have several similar features, but each model will also come with some distinct attributes that make it stand out from the others.

Let’s take a closer look and find out which robot vacuum will give the best value for your money.

Suction Strength

As the name suggests, vacuum cleaners pick up dirt from the floor by sucking it in. With that said, the amount of suction that is available will determine to a large extent how effective the vacuum cleaner will be in picking up dirt particles of different sizes. Let’s see how our three RoboVacs perform.

Eufy RoboVac 15C
When it comes to suction, this robot vacuum comes with the lowest abilities when compared to the other two. However, this does not mean that it falls short when it comes to cleaning. It comes with 1300 Pa of suction which may be the lowest of the three, but it is still strong enough to pick up particles of all sizes.

This suction is further enhanced by the BoostIQ feature that monitors the surfaces being vacuumed and makes adjustments to the suction levels to ensure that you get maximum runtime without messing with the results.

The surfaces that can be comfortably handled by this robot vacuum include hard floors and low pile carpets. You might have trouble if you try to clean high pile carpets or area rugs so if you have many such surfaces in your home, this may not be your best option.

Eufy RoboVac 15C MAX
As far a suction goes, the 15C Max is the best of the three. You get an incredible 2000 Pa of suction power that will see to it that you have no problems picking up dirt regardless of the surface you are cleaning or the size of the particles that you are trying to pick up.

This vacuum also comes with BoostIQ that will help ensure that you get maximum runtime by lowering the suction levels when the robot is vacuuming hard floors and stepping up the suction levels when it reaches a carpeted area. This way, vacuuming is effective on all surfaces and the robot runs efficiently.

Like the RoboVac 15C, this one is also designed for use on hard floors and low pile carpets so it might not produce the best results on high pile carpets.

A quick look at the naming system will make you think that this robot comes with the highest level of suction when compared with the other two but this is not the case. However, it does come with stronger suction than the 15C Robovac.

At 1500 Pa, this robot vacuum still comes packed with enough suction strength to easily pick up most of the dirt particles you would find in homes. It also comes with Eufy’s BoostIQ technology that adjusts the amount of suction created by the robot according to the floor surface being cleaned to ensure that you get the best results while at the same time maximizing runtime.

Unlike the other two, this robot vacuums is a bit more powerful when it comes to the floor surfaces that can be handled. It can comfortably clean hard floors, low-pile carpets and will still do a good job on medium-pile carpets. It will however not produce the best results on high-pile carpets.

Battery Performance

Since robots need to move around freely, the performance of their batteries is another very important metric. This is because they need to be able to cover a large area before they have to go back to the home base for a charge.

Although these three robot vacuums have different suction strengths, the runtime you will be able to get from each robot is similar across the board. You will be able to use the robot for an uninterrupted 100 minutes if you vacuum primarily in standard mode. If you choose to do the cleaning in Max Mode, then runtime is significantly reduced to 40 minutes.

Maneuverability

Robot vacuums should be able to easily move around your home and again, these three seem to be cut from the same cloth. With that said, it’s important to note that they perform exceptionally when compared to most other robot vacuum cleaners.

These three vacuums have very similar overall dimensions and as a result, they come with the same capabilities when it comes to maneuverability. With a height of only2.85 inches, these vacuums will be able to easily fit in the tight spaces under furniture to ensure that your entire floor surface is vacuumed.

With this ability to fit in tight spaces, the likelihood of getting ugly scratches in the process of cleaning increases. Fortunately, Eufy engineers had this in mind when designing these three vacuums because they have been fitted with premium anti-scratch tempered glass on the top surface to ensure that you won’t have to deal with ugly scratches even if the robot goes under a very tight spot.

When it comes to climbing, the robots will have no problems climbing over obstacles as high as 0.63 inches which is quite decent if you consider how slim these robots are.

Control Options

Robot vacuums are supposed to move around your home freely so that they can pick up dirt from wherever it is. However, you might need some level of control so that you can tell them when and where to clean. Let’s see how these three compare.

Eufy RoboVac 15C and 15C MAX
These two models are similar and we will bundle them together when looking at controls. They both come with a separate remote, and Wi-Fi connectivity that allows you to connect the robot to your home Wi-Fi network and use your smartphone as a remote.

You also have the option of increasing convenience by using voice commands if you connect the robot to Alexa or the Google Assistant. Unfortunately, you will need to use physical means like closing doors if you need to limit the robot to specific parts of your home.

Eufy RoboVac 30C
This RoboVac takes things a notch higher by including a 13.2-foot boundary strip to the setup available in the RoboVac 15C and 15C MAX. This way, if you need prevent the robot from reaching a specific area of your home, you will only need to position the boundary strip accordingly and the robot will stop and change direction when it reaches the strip.

Conclusion

If you are in the market for a slim and affordable robot vacuum, getting a Eufy robot is the way to go. If you want to get maximum suction, then the RoboVac 15C MAX is the best choice for you but if you need decent suction and the ability to control the areas of your home that can be reached by the robot, then the RoboVac 30C will be a better choice. However, if you want the most affordable option that will still do a decent cleaning job on most surfaces, then you should get the RoboVac 15C.
